The Little Things.

The beauty behind these images is so simple and pure.  A close up photograph of the little things that lay around your home (translation: the magnificent jewellery and accessories around your immaculately decorated and chic abode, according to these photos, haha).  Everyone should check out this new website, TheCoveted, which glimpses into the closets and lives of various personalities involved in the fashion industry. I am in love with the  beautiful images and informative and personal blurbs that accompany them.  Go look!

Sometimes its the little things that make a home, make a day, make a life.  Don't let them pass you by.

Inspired.

Posts on Cupcakes and Cashmere and other beloved blogs have got me seriously looking forward to spring.  Not to mention the most wintery of days that we had here today in Kingston.
I'm loving the overall aesthetic of this lovely home..the floral fabrics..the brightly coloured, and happily cluttered walls..and the way everything looks put together, but not overly contrived.  Feeling totally inspired (Mom, how do you feel about a room makeover this spring?!).

The homeowner is a fabric designer, and all of the fabric featured are of her own designs.  I am in love.  Also, the bookshelves are colour co-ordinated.  Such a fun idea...might be nice to throw alphabetizing aside for some pleasing aesthetics.  For me, what makes this home is how happy and summery it is.
Looking forward to a change in the seasons.

Winter Whites

Instead of joining the club and participating in the winter blues like so many other citizens of this blistery country, I've decided to gather inspiration from the beautiful whites of winter.
White with black accents.  Always classy.
This looks like a spacious bathroom of an old, country home.  I love the white wood panelled floors, and this is the perfect shade of red to compliment white.  Its not too bright or splashy, but rather the muted tone makes the space look welcoming and warm.
This dining room is perfection in neutral colours.  (sidenote: I LOVE the dresser painted in pale blue.  It's something different from the expected china cabinet, yet completely functional for storing linens, etc.)
So Glamorous. So luxe.
(Saving this image for inspiration for my wedding HA)

I'm trying my hardest not to let the freezing, dry, dreary weather get to me, and also to battle this perpetual cold I cannot seem to get rid of.
