marry me?

It's become a trend that after watching a show/movie profusely I become completely enamoured with a certain actor that catches my eye (ie - Alexander Skarsgard of True Blood, amongst others).  Well, Joseph Gordon Levitt, my new love, has caught on to this trend and I am now head over heels for him.  After watching 500 Days of Summer many, many times (great breakup movie) and Inception for the second time, I've become blown away by Levitt.  He plays the most likeable, sensitive, and emotional character in 500 Days, and really shows his versatility in Inception.
I instantly fell for Levitt during the karaoke scene in 500 Days (that I can't find a good picture of)...but the dance sequence of the movie is a second favourite and runner up for moments when he won my heart.

so cute...i love this little shoulder-shake thing he does.... k, bordering on creepy

Usually when I get my unattainable-man-crushes I search on Google for pictures that I like of them.  I often have to go through a few pages to find pictures where I see the emotion and character that draws me to them.. but with Joseph (Joe for short ;)) I found dozens instantly. R WE MEANT TO B, OR WHAT?!

This picture instantly became my favourite.  I just find it so telling of the emotion he is capable of conveying and exposing.  The plaid shirt...the squinty little eyes...the fact that he looks so sad, yet on the verge of bursting into a huge smile revealing his irresistible dimples.

ok, ok. enough.
Going to watch Mad Men.....
(you can probably expect a post about my love for Jon Hamm within the next few days)

Still Learning. Still Growing Up.

Sometimes you have to make a decision to do what is best for you.
You may believe in something, you may want it more than anything in the world, but it is important to remember that the only things that you can control are your own actions and decisions.
Sometimes you can only do so much.

Look forward. Don't dwell. You're okay.

(I love you more than anything. But you have to realize what you gave up. And I have to learn that it's okay to live my life without you.)

GETTING INTO THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Can't wait.
Christmas will mean: no exams or any school work to worry about, friends, love, family, good food, baking, blogging, picture taking, crafting, reading, watching movies, listening to records, and cuddling up beside the fireplace.

Bathroom Bliss.

I'm loving the traditional flooring, and the shallow shelves lining the wall.  I would probably opt for a mix of candles and pictures to liven up the space.

I really like how the pictures in this bathroom make it not feel like a bathroom at all.  It seems so home-y and comfortable.

Street Love.

I'm really into pale/nude tones right now.  All of these looks just seem so effortlessly cool, especially the first image.  I love the unexpected mix of textures of the cable knit sweater, paired with the flowy lightweight skirt (I also love the length of the skirt!).

Wishing it was still warm enough to wear all of these outfits.

Suave Babies

K how cute are these kids?
(...must play dress-up with my nephew)
This also reminds me of Monday night's 90210 where Jen dresses Jacques in leather and tweed trousers to correspond with her own outfits. We realize later in the episode how ridiculously impractical this is....but how howww cuteee?

New Obsession

Lately I have become completely obsessed with mood/inspiration boards.  They are so pretty! I will be making one of my own sometime soon. I love how the first image has a leaf included - incorporating nature with art and fashion.

According to the Sun

Capricorn
Virgo

British Vogue released an editorial themed on astrological signs.  The images remind me of some sort of fairy land.  I especially like the second one.

These images speak for themselves.

Music Musts

As of late I have been completely obsessed with Mumford & Sons, and the new Tokyo Police Club album 'Champ'.
Give a guy a banjo and he will own my heart forever.  This music is so lovely and touching.  The best music I have come across this year.
I'm usually not a huge fan of these Canadian cuties, but this album is soso good.  Dave Monks' vocals are so sweet, and the album as a whole gives a really good vibe.  Check it out!

HeHe

How cute is this? It's so practical!

Beautiful Bookcases

So simple and lovely. I've read about the "science" of arranging a bookshelf - using negative space, grouping like items, taking height into consideration, etc.  The first image, I think, represents this kind of practice.  However, the following pictures show how beautiful the most simple arrangements can be.  Such a great way to display the things you love, whether you take the science into consideration or not.
